Growing Up or Just Growing Old?

This month we hear from Pastor Doug Williams, senior leader of Emmanuel Community Church International in East London. TBN Presents: Doug Williams airs on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m., Fridays at 11 p.m., and Mondays at 10:05 a.m. Additionally, Pastor Doug’s previous programme, Heart 2 Heart, is available On-Demand at tbnuk.org/vod.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Hi, I’m Doug Williams, and I lead Emmanuel Community Church International (ECCI) with my wife Joan, and we have four beautiful children. Here at ECCI we aim to love God passionately, build church biblically, and serve our community relevantly. To further this vision, we partner with a gang intervention project called Spark2Life, which received a criminal youth justice award for its effort.

We have also launched a multi-academy school trust called TEST, which has received a positive Ofsted evaluation for its outstanding features in leadership and management. Additionally, our second primary school is slated for launch in 2021.

It has been a real privilege to become part of the TBN UK family. We have had such good feedback to our series Heart 2 Heart, and I am really excited about our new TBN Presents series. It will be called Growing up, or Just Growing Old?

Too many Christians are still living in spiritual infancy, and not maturing to their full stature in God and His purposes. They struggle with the same besetting sins, are paralysed by the same negative attitudes, and fail badly in the area of relational intelligence — simply put, how to get along with other people!

This new programme aims to address these issues head-on and help people find the keys to push beyond mediocre Christian living, and step into the courage it takes to grow.

Join me each week on TBN UK, and let’s do this together!
