Inspired by Psalm 46, ‘God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble’, TBN UK has been producing a special series of programmes called God in the Midst to focus on God’s presence and goodness in the midst of the challenges that we face during the national lockdown.

We’re excited for you to tune in as we address important themes like hope, hearing God’s voice, wellbeing and wholeness, domestic abuse, motherhood, the church, and leadership. Each programme also includes a special time of worship and prayer, so viewers can encounter God in the midst of every situation they are facing.

Hosted by familiar faces, such as Pastor Michael White, Mike Pilavachi MBE, and Elle Limebear, each episode features inspiring interviews and encouraging messages from ministries around the UK, along with such special guests as Pastor Chlo Glassborow, Dr. R.T. Kendall, and Dr. Sharon Stone. There’s also uplifting worship from local churches like Hackney Church, LIFE Church, and

Encouragement on Mothering Sunday

While motherhood is a great gift, it doesn’t come without its challenges. Let’s recharge as we rest in the Word of God and His perfect parenting.

Mums are amazing and such a blessing! However, we know they have no easy task. They can often feel overwhelmed with responsibilities in the home, work, sleepless nights, teething, tantrums, teenagers — the list goes on. Even when children have grown up and flown the nest, a mother’s concern doesn’t disappear. From being ready on the end of a phone, to being a shoulder to cry on, maybe babysitting the grandchildren or helping with a house move, mothers are always available and on-call. Spiritually and emotionally, being a mother can be tough. Plus, bringing up children in the way of the Lord is no easy endeavour. It takes lots of prayer, words of wisdom, as well as patience and love. It takes time to build trust that God will keep His hand on the family continually. Some of us may not have had easy relationships with our own mothers, or we may have lost our mothers prematurely. God knows, cares, and He will bring comfort, healing, and restoration for all those
missing their mothers today.

For Mothering Sunday we have gathered a handful of verses to bless all the ladies who have mothered us. That includes mums, sisters, aunties, step-mums, grandmas, carers, pastors, neighbours, and friends who have been an inspiration to us throughout our lives. God created women with a special role, to reveal facets of His character and His love in a unique way. We pray these verses will inspire women to keep sharing and caring, revealing the true tender-heartedness of Jesus’ love to those around them. It is good to take time out with God, have a stress-free moment or two, and renew our minds with God’s Word.

Mothers are Chosen
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”
–PSALM 139: 13-14

Mothers are Strong
“Strength and honour are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come.”
–PROVERBS 31:25

Mothers are Honoured
“Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”
–DEUTERONOMY 5:16

Mothers Are on Mission
“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
–PROVERBS 22:6

(All scriptures are in the New King James Version of the Bible.)

TAKE FIVE

Have you been listening in to our new “Take Five” podcast?

TBN UK’s Taylor Bentliff has been making the most of the lockdown and has been chatting to some fantastic guests on a range of fun, challenging, and important topics! Each conversation gives great advice and insight to brighten up your day at home or your commute to work. You’ll also get to know some members of the team here at TBN UK as they share their own personal stories and ideas at the beginning of every episode!

Recently we heard from Michelle and Amit, who shared their experience of being in an interracial relationship and how we can embrace different cultures. Lily Jo gave great advice on mental health, providing tips on juggling work, mission, family, friendships, and travel. As a woman with many responsibilities, she had some great things to say.

Taylor also loved chatting with Martha Collison as they discussed The Great British Bake Off, and what it was like being one of the youngest ever contestants. Listen in to her advice on life in lockdown and balancing faith with fame – not to mention plenty of kitchen tips and tricks to inspire our baking and cure the boredom.

You can find Martha’s interview, ‘Baking an Impact’, and all other episodes on Spotify, Apple, and other leading podcast platforms. Subscribe now to make sure you don’t miss a thing. Just search

PARTNERSHIP

Your partnership with TBN UK is impacting millions for God’s Kingdom!

As the lockdown continues to keep so many in isolation and uncertainty, individuals and families across the United Kingdom are being encouraged in the love of Jesus through the programming they experience on your TBN UK. That’s right! It’s because of your committed partnering through prayer and financial stewardship that we can reach nearly every UK household with relevant content that leads people to Christ and mentors them in their faith. Thank you for standing with us!

Sadly I went away from the Lord for a number of years. But as last year’s lockdown began, I came to the real understanding of what’s really important in life and where I was heading without God. As TBN is the only Christian channel on UK TVs, it was a real blessing to me to get introduced to God again and get the courage to read my Bible again.
