Tears and Smiles Around the Christmas Tree

This month’s featured programmer is Zoe Clark-Coates, host of Soul Tears. The Christmas season of Soul Tears airs Thursdays at 6:35 p.m. and Sundays at 9 p.m. Series 1 continues on New Year’s Eve at 7:30 p.m.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

My name is Zoe Clark-Coates, and I am the CEO of the Mariposa Trust, which exists to support those who have been affected by the loss of a child at any stage of pregnancy, at birth, or in infancy. I am also co-chair of the government’s review of baby loss, as well as host of the chat show Soul Tears on TBN UK.

Soul Tears is all about helping people deal with grief. Whether or not we are prepared for it, grief will affect each of us at some point. The goal of Soul Tears is to help us become better at talking about loss, and supporting those who are
facing loss.

Especially for the holiday season we have produced four Christmas specials, knowing that this can be one of the most difficult times of the year for those who have suffered loss. These specials are all about offering hope in the midst of pain.

My favourite part of Soul Tears is talking with so many incredible people. It is a huge honour when anyone chooses to share their emotional pain and story with you. This festive season has more wonderful guests and uplifting music that embraces Christmas.

Whether someone has gone through grief or not, we all live in a world where sadness is as important as joy, and we can only find true happiness if we are willing also to process through grief and pain. Series 1 of Soul Tears is available On Demand at tbnuk.org.

BEHIND THE SCENES

We filmed a series of special Christmas music videos for TBN Play with some of the top UK worship artists.

It was an incredible couple of days recording beautiful Christmas carols and songs, declaring the good news of Jesus Christ.
